Statement of Significance

A bluestone church of 1857 of a naive character, and with a quaint concave roofed bellcote. Although the design is attributed to a member of the congregation, James Thomson, the octagonal pinnacles are strongly reminiscent of the work of the local architect William Douglas. The porch of 1932 and the unsympathetic modern roofing are excluded.
