Church Statement of Significance: An early and good example of Leonard Terry's church design, dating from 1862-3, and in the Early English style, which never received its intended tower at the South-East corner, but was extended by Inskip and Butler in 1896 with a particularly pleasing chancel of sheer brick external surfaces, but picturesque massing. The building comprises a spacious nave of six bays, porch and elevated chancel, including an unaltered organ by George Fincham dating from the early 1870s.

Organ Statement of Significance: A two-manual organ of 12 speaking stops built in 1871 by George Fincham and moved to the chancel chamber in 1896. It is among the earliest examples of its builder's work to survive intact. The instrument is of particular note for its tonal design, including swell and choir organs rather than the usual swell and great organs; it is the only surviving Fincham organ with such a scheme. It retains its polished blackwood case with spotted metal facade pipes, console, pipework and action. Of state significance.
