Statement of Significance

A 2-storey mansion of polychrome brick, built in 1872 for Dr William Shaw by his architect brother, on a corner site. Its symmetrical facade has an unusual recessed balcony over an entrance porch; the iron gate and fencing on a bluestone base, probably contemporary, are included.
