Statement of Significance

A bichrome parish church in the Early English style, built in 1871-2 to the design of the local architect Andrew McWiliam, and making use of bricks and tiles from local makers. It is pleasing for its completeness and for the cream brick detailing, including the depressed arch of the entrance doorway and the label moulds of the windows.
