Statement of Significance

A drop log homestead which is undated, but possibly of the 1850s, of an unusual plan consisting principally of two large rooms with a very wide hall in between, all of which, together with the four pairs of french windows opening out of the main rooms, suggest a link with the neighbouring property Bael Bael, despite minor differences in the constructional system. Though the verandah, which surrounded three sides is almost gone, and the building is in a decrepit state, this does not destroy the technical interest of the building as a specimen nor the power with which it evokes pioneering conditions in the area.
