The Macorna Butter Factory is of local historical significance as a poignant reminder of a once bustling small town situated at a now discontinued, but once important, local railhead. Architecturally this small red brick building displays the typical dairy roof line ventilation. The pleasing symmetrical lines of the simple rectangular shape and placement of windows and doors demonstrate a thoughtful response to the requirements of the industry - the need to keep the produce as cool as possible and be able to load and unload produce quickly and efficiently. As with the Mincha Butter Factory and Tragowel Produce and Trading Company, the Macorna Butter Factory illustrates a now obsolete dairying process.
