Statement of Significance

A hotel of 1891 designed by George Jobbins, unusual for a country town in that it is in part three-storeyed, and has the top storey elaborately and formally treated, although the removal of the verandah and balcony has left the lower storeys bare and drastically affected the overall appearance of the building.
