Erected of coursed rubble bluestone with a gable roof at the rear of a primitive store which was fronting High Street, occupied by an undertaker and furniture/cabinet maker. The original use of this building has not been determined, the existance of a small oven in this single room structure being the only factor in determining the function. The shingle cladding is covered with later roofing iron.
One of the few surviving 19th century structures within the Lismore township. It is of interest as a curiosity, largely because of the small scale and evocative nature of its construction. It has been unfortunately annexed from the High Streetfrontage by construction of a fuel depot. No apparent historical importance is attached to this building.
It has been partially dismantled and the individual stones numbered for removal to another site. The structure requires further detailed investigation.
