Statement of Significance

A bluestone church of 1870 which is particularly attractive and well detailed for such a rural location, but which is particularly distinguished by its dominating tower and stair turret of 1890. The nave is by the prominent architect Leonard Terry, but the designer of the tower is unknown (possibly C D Figgis). The interior includes fine stained glass, a paved sanctuary floor and pews designed by Figgis.
