Statement of Significance

Built as court house and post office in 1877. Architect was J.H. Marsden. Palazzo style with colonade of three arches, with a tower.Court house part taken over by post office in 1891 when a new Court House was built.
On 22/04/1971 the Post Office was already part of a Group Classification for the Civic Square Group of Post Office, Town Hall and Court House.
