Church Classified 17/11/1977 Revised: Classified:04/08/1988
A three-manual organ, originally of 24 stops, built in 1890- 91 by Fincham & Hobday and rebuilt in 1926 by George Fincham & sons, who introduced a new console, tubular-pneumatic action and enlarged the organ to 40 stops. The largest organ in Ballarat, it has a particularly attractive case, incorporating stencilled pipes, at the focal point of the building.
In 1991 the 1926 console was disconnected and the instrument is now unplayable, awaiting future restoration.
