Statement of Significance

A cement-faced Gothic church of four bays, built to a design by J A Doane, which is a variant in his earlier Wesleyan Chapel in Barkly Street. The main facade, distinguished by a notched and finialled gable, is flanked by pinnacled buttresses and incorporates a tripartite lancet window and twin doorways, framed by delicate hood mouldings.
