Statement of Significance

The first Melbourne chapel of the Bible Christian Church, a bluestone building of 1859 which is of architectural interest primarily for the early use of cream brick in the arches and quioning of the side windows, which have retained their colonial Georgian pattern glazing. The small brick vestry dates from 1869 and the pilastrated and pedimented stuccoed facade from 1911.
