Statement of Significance

A handsome bluestone church of 1884 by Alexander Davidson with interesting engaged colonettes on an octagonal tower, intact iron finials and surprising Venetian Gothic arches, but with clumsy mansard gables forming the tower base. Internally the relocated Chirnside pew is finely carved with a mixture of late Norman and Ionic motifs which is quite exceptional.
