A prominently sited two-storey mansion built by David Mitchell, symmetrically disposed on the western front, which is marked by a fine bow, reminiscent of the Regency style, with long elegant windows.
The building is most noteworthy for the splendid verandah to both storeys; that of the ground floor is excellent in its form of the Ionic Order and the first floor, superimposed upon it, for cast-iron construction and elegant cast-iron decoration. The prominent corbelled blocks at the eaves are noteworthy and the chimneys form a strong sky-line motif.
