Statement of Significance

Ripponlea station is significant as a surviving substantially intact, Arts and Crafts influenced, timber station building group with footbridge. It is representative of the most common station building design prepared for medium sized stations during the first two decades of this century and is enhanced by the survival of the footbridge and by its setting in the Burnett Grey gardens and surrounding Estates which are contemporary with the construction of the station.
