Group Statement of Significance: A row of 7 contiguous cottages ranging in period from 1873 to 1891, all of simple timber construction and occupied by a succession of tradesmen and servants. Nos 37 and 39 of 1891, are typical of many similar cottages constructed by the Metropolitan Building Society throughout the Melbourne suburbs prior to the Society's crash in that year.
