Statement of Significance

Strathtulloh is apparently an early surviving homestead, dating from the 1840s and the kitchen was the first homestead. The hip roofed main house is constructed of random coursed bluestone and had a slate roof, now corrugated iron. There is an attic storey with small dormer windows and a verandah facesthree sides. There is a fan-light over the front door.
Strathtulloh is an important example of a pioneering homestead in Victoria. The homestead has historical associations with the early settlement of the district and forms an important contrast with the nearby contermporary property 'Exford'. This comparison is as important architecturally and Strathtulloh is an important surviving example of a Colonial homestead, complete with dormer windows.
Strathtulloh is in good condition and is essentially intact.
