Statement of Significance

This substantial brick building is important for the distinctive design details evident in the careful use of polychromatic bricks, the octagonal shaped chimney in brick and the window surrounds. It was designed to be spacious and reflect the high status of its designer/owner and is a good example of a beachside house in the Victorian Free Classical style.
