Statement of Significance

Built about 1888 for J J Miller, this single storey brick residence, known as Miller's Homestead, has attractive cast iron verandah trim and internally has marble fireplaces, etched glass panels and high quality joinery, still in original condition. James John Miller, well known in the printing trade and as a successful horse breeder, became the first President of the Shire of Ferntree Gully.
