Statement of Significance

A large house with an impressive facade and containing one especially fine room preserving late 19th century stained glass, joinery and decorative details. Also of interest is the main hall and stairway. Part of the house may date from the house built by James Denham Pinnock in 1855. The house was expanded and altered in the 1860s and the 1880s.
Owned from 1934 to 1990 by the Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Hert of Jesus and known as Lauriston Hall.
Now commercial uses and known as Elizabeth House.
