Statement of Significance

Remarkable brick corner house and two adjacent terrace houses built in 1900-1903 for Dr Samuel Peacock by architect Robert Haddon. The three houses are in the art nouveau manner with stressed perpendiculars, a corner turret and cantilever balconette, of which the characteristic flowing curves in the wrought iron balustrades are repeated in the two-storey terrace balcony.
