Statement of Significance

A simple four roomed workman's cottage of which the first two rooms were built in the late 1850s. The timber construction uses many imported components and the London common stock bricks used for the chimney are of interest. The original split roof shingles of local hardwood are still in place under the corrugated iron roofing.
