Statement of Significance

A church of bizarre architectural character, built in 1914 to the design of A P Coles. The exterior treatment is a combination of red brick American Romanesque; English Arts & Crafts in the rough cast and the pseudo half-timbered gable (which itself has Art Nouveau overtones); and a North European, perhaps Baltic half-gabled tower with a slender spire.
