Statement of Significance

A single-manual organ of four stops built about 1875 in the style of a German positiv organ by the noted South Australian organbuilder Daniel Heinrich Lemke for Immanuel Lutheran Church, Light Pass, in the Barossa Valley. The instrument was moved to a delightful painted case with curved toeboard and fretwork pipeshades and retains its original foot blowing action and voicing. It is the only example of its builder's work outside South Australia and one of his few surviving works.
