Statement of Significance

A ten-storey office building constructed in 1937 for Trustees, Executors Agency Ltd and designed by the architects A. K. Henderson. An interesting example of modern commercial gothic design, it is a significant member of the early 20th century financial houses constructed between Market and Queen Streets.

File note: The building was used for a few months in 1942 as General Headquarters for the Allied Forces in the Southwest Pacific Area, led by General Douglas MacArthur.
