Statement of Significance

Designed by Smith, Ogg and Serpell and built in 1924, Harley House is a miniature of the architect's later Classical Revival design for the Port Authority Building. Of the highest quality in its finishes, it is revealing of the conservative and decorous approach taken to the redevelopment of Collins Street in the inter-war period.
