Statement of Significance

A simple and anonymous schoolroom building which initially doubled as a church, and is built in the local ferruginous sandstone: it dates from 1850 and is amongst the oldest such structures in the state, and a relic from the pioneering days of Melbourne's oldest satellite settlement.
