Statement of Significance

Erected in 1891 as an extension to the Working Men's College, this Gothic revival building was designed by architects Oakden, Addison and Kemp. Essentially a workshop, it is very much in the tradition of 19th century industrial architecture to have a gothic form applied over it. It is complementary to RMIT Building
No 1 and a fine essay in the Gothic style in its own right.
