Crossways is prominently sited, possesses much of its original garden and is a good example of the English Domestic Revival style. It is associated with Charles Tinkler, a successful member of the tannery allied trades, a number of whom settled in the emerging residential suburb of Heidelberg during the inter-War period. It is of local architectural and historical interest.
