Statement of Significance

Maristowe is of local historical significance. The building was constructed in 1913 by prominent confectioner MacPherson Robertson, on land which was part of a larger estate located on the east side of Station Street. The house was constructed for his daughter Stella Robertson and son-in-law Herbert W Brewer.
