Statement of Significance

The former manse at no. 165 Mount Alexander Road, Flemington, was built presumably in 1875 for the Wesleyan Church. It is historically important for its association with the Wesley, later Methodist, Church (Criterion A) and is aesthetically distinguished (Criterion E) by the use of polychrome brickwork, forming a pair with the former Wesley Church alongside.
