Statement of Significance

Of local significance as an example of the use of recycled building materials in response to shortages in the post-Second World War period, and as a community meeting-place, providing important services to Wonga Park, particularly during the commercial boom resulting from the Pan-Pacific Scout Jamboree at Clifford Park in 1955-56.
