Why is it significant?
This specimen of Lawsons Cypress is in good condition and is comparable in height, canopy spread and trunk circumference of other registered trees. It is significant for its overall form and health and is a good example of the species, albeit with a multi trunked form. The tree is a source for propagation stock The tree is of local historic significance being located on the local Heritage site, the former Police Station (Heritage Overlay HO367 No tree controls apply), however, there is no specific heritage citation noting the planting of the tree.
