What is significant?
These Quercus canariensis, Algerian oak, are located on the school grounds at Yinnar, managed by the Education Department.
How is it significant?
These trees are significant as they are fine specimens for which we have a good estimate of planting date and so they are significant for historic but also aesthetic and scientific reasons at the Regional level.
Why is it significant?
The trees are significant for their outstanding size, particularly canopy spread. They make an important contribution to the local landscape and are very good examples of the species.
