An individual Erythrina crista-galli (Cock's Comb Coral Tree) located in the rear garden of 9 Rubens Grove, Canterbury, adjacent to the northern boundary. 
How is it significant?
The tree is significant for scientific reasons at the Regional level.
Why is it significant?
This Cockscomb Coral Tree is of scientific significance for being a better than average example of this species, and for its significant size.  It is slightly lower in height than an example of state significance found at the Royal Botanic Gardens (listed as 7.1m height).
