This Upright English Oak grows in a roadside reserve on Great Alpine Road, Myrtleford.

How is it significant?

This Upright English Oak is significant for scientific and social reasons at the Regional level.

Why is it significant?

This Upright English Oak is an outstanding example of a species rarely cultivated in Victoria. A stand-alone specimen located in a roadside reserve along the south-west corner of Myrtleford Pine Plantation, the height and uniform growth of this Upright English Oak makes a significant contribution to the landscape. There is one other Upright English Oak in the Register with a comparable height (T11624 in Mount Macedon, 23m), however this tree is in far better condition.
