History/Notes
In 1927, William Hector Little, an agent, had this house at 112 Aphrasia Street built by F.R. Pilley in anticipation of his marriage to Miss Jean Hosking in 1928. They raised their two children and lived at this address for all of their married life.

W.H. Little was born in Geelong in 1901, the son of John and Jessie (nee Fisher). He died in 1972. At this time the dwelling was described as 'a six roomed brick dwelling house known as No. 112 Aphrasia Street and occupied by the deceased as a residence.' It was valued at $14,000.

Miss Jean Victoria Hosking was born at Mt. Gambier, South Australia, in 1901, the daughter of Ebenezer and Jessie Jane Baxter (nee Driscoll) Hosking. Mrs Little lived to the age of 108 years, passing away in 2009.

The single storey brick dwelling is reflective of its original interwar Californian Bungalow design in the articulation of the principal and verandah gable roof forms (clad in terra cotta tiles), brick verandah piers with squat columns, timber framed double hung windows, front entrance door opening, broad eaves, brick chimneys and the decorative gable infill. There is a gabled addition at the rear. The front brick fence is early and contributes to the character of the property.
