The 'Koombahla Gum' is located on the 'Koombahla Vineyard' which was named after this majestic tree. It is believed that koombahla is one of the indigenous names for this tree type.
Neville Walsh , botanist from Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, believes this tree to be of outstanding height as it is rarely reported over 25 metres.
