Contribution to landscape The Sugar Gum (Eucalyptus cladocalyx) located in the south-west corner of the gardenmakes anaesthetic contribution to this culturally, historically and architecturally significant residence and 1940s arboretum-style garden. Its was planted circa 1941 to the south of the residence creating a broad green backdrop for the residence and its high rounded canopyaccentuates the curves of Arthur Pretty's 1940 Moderne inspired architecture of the residence. This specimen is notable as a prime example of the species due to its great canopy spread-girth-height ratio. It also represents an important Australian element of a historic planting style found in rural/country-style homesteads in Victoria. Measurements: 25/06/2011 Access: Restricted
