What is significant?
(2 Peers St, 1 New St)
An unusually intensive development of a corner site, with two similar pairs of very early Boom brick houses, with parapets.
Their designs are similar : brick, double-fronted, symmetrical, built to the street boundaries and linked. There is a plain cornice and frieze, with a round centrepiece with capping mould, between piers. No.2 has ruled render and no.1 is brick. No.2 has a leadlight fanlight.It lacks urns to centrepieces and no.1 lacks end urns (bases exist) and leadlight fanlight. Brickwork and render is all painted.
How is it significant?
The building is contributory historically to Richmond.

An unusually intensive development of a corner site with two similar very early Boom-style double-fronted, brick houses.
