A terrace of company housing exceptional in Victoria. Built in 1909 closely following English lines in the manner of estates like Port Sunlight and of architects like Parker and Unwin and M H Baillie Scott (as in his semi-detached housing at Onchan, Isle of Man). They featured half dormer and lateral gables in imitation half timbering projecting from a dominant longitudinal roof, however the continuous verandah departs from the English norm. The half timbering and original window joinery are gone and the interiors have been modernised, the overall form remains in striking contrast to the Australian terrace house norm and is a testimony to the influence of British model industrial estates.
