Why is it significant?
Text from the 2004 heritage study:
The building at 97 Main Street, Stawell, is historically and architecturally significant at a CONTRIBUTORY level. Although the 19th century shopfront has been greatly altered, the gable roof form, galvanised corrugated iron roof cladding, and the parapeted face brick side walls of the front section of the building are those particular elements that contribute to the historical and architectural amenity of the area.
