Statement of Significance

Of local significance as a long-standing hotel on the Ballarat Road which served the main road traffic and a focus for the Deer Park community, prior to and during the suburban development on the western fringes of Melbourne The hotel is of minor architectural and landscape interest for its English style and gardens featuring mature Canary Island palms, peppercorns and eucalypts.
