Statement of Significance

The Beazleys Bridge Public Hall, 6106 Ararat-St Arnaud Road, Beazleys Bridge, has significance as a legacy of the development of the community and as a community meeting place from the interwar period (c1920s - 1940s) period. The site has also been used as a public meeting place since the erection of the previous hall in 1889. The building has architectural significance for its original features of the interwar era, and appears to be in fair to good condition. The four gate posts and marked tree planting are also significant as war memorials.

The Beazleys Bridge Public Hall, 6106 Ararat-St Arnaud Road, Beazleys Bridge, is architecturally significant at a LOCAL level. The building demonstrates original interwar design features including the gambrel roof forms clad in unpainted galvanised corrugated iron, modest eaves, galvanised iron ventilation stacks, the weatherboard clad lower walls and strapped sheet clad upper walls, the timber framed, double hung windows with the upper sashes divided into 6 panes, the flat hood over the main doors and the vertical board double main entry doors. The sign board above the door appears to be original. The four gate posts with marble tablets are also significant.
