Remnant native vegetation This group of three Coast Banksias is significant in that it is clearly the largest of this tree species in the general area between Lake Wellington and Lake Victoria. They are examples of remnant vegetation prior to clearing for agriculture. The group was previously the highest point on a remnant dune in the landscape until some recently planted (circa 1983)Tasmanian Blue Gums and Spotted Gums have overtaken them in height.
