The former SEC office at 44 Bair Street, Leongatha is of local historic and aesthetic interest to the town of Leongatha.
Historically, it is part of a group of buildings that demonstrate an important phase of commercial development in Bair Street during the interwar years.
Aesthetically, it is a good and substantially intact example of an interwar shop that retains its original parapet and awning and contributes to the streetscape of Bair Street.
