What is significant?
Remains of a late 19th century quartz mine that retains no visible machinery foundations. Only features surviving are partly excavated mullock heap and tailings dump. There is a possible machinery site marked by brick rubble.
How is it significant?
The site has poor intactness and integrity, but may have some archaeological significance due to the presence of a possible machinery site.
Why is it significant?
The site has local significance as a relic of Victorias historic gold mining industry. However, in comparison to other contemporary quartz mine, it is poorly preserved.
