A very attractive tree with long, pointed glossy leaves. It has grown into an attractive conical form with a dense crown. The species is rare in cultivation and is not available in the nursery trade. A native of the Himalayas, other known specimensoccur atthe Royal Botanic Gardens (x8).
It is located beside the drive approximately halfway between the entrance and the house
