Outstanding size

This marvellous tree is the largest and tallest example of this species in Victoria. It is notable for its straight trunk and high branching crown which has been reduced by storm damage. It is known locally as the "Eagle Tree," due to a Sea Eagle's nest high in the crown.
The easiest way to find this tree is to follow the Koondrook Red River Gum Forest Walk to Stop 12 where an interpretive sign gives the reader some background information
